Service Description
Are you looking for a space to reduce stress, explore your personal journey, and connect with others through creativity? Join Jess's Ceramics Art Therapy Group – a unique therapeutic experience led by Jessica Gough, a Registered Art Psychotherapist (HCPC) and artist, with full DBS clearance. We will be supported by Anna, a trainee Psychologist experienced in the medium of ceramics. This group is open to all, whether you're new to ceramics or have some experience. Through the tactile medium of clay, you’ll have the opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings, deepen your self-awareness, and form connections with others in a supportive community. What you can expect: Stress relief and mindfulness through hands-on art-making Self-exploration and a deeper understanding of your emotional world A supportive group environment fostering connection and shared experiences Hands-on experience with both hand-building and the pottery wheel No prior art experience necessary – this is not a class, but a personal exploration through the medium of clay There are no added costs- all clay, glazes, and firings are included in the course price Please prepare for the class by cutting your nails short, wearing clothes you don't mind getting dirty (clay does come out easily in the wash), and bringing a tea towel and a plastic bag To ensure this group is a good fit for you, Jess will offer a free 20-minute virtual call where you can discuss your motivations for joining, go over any questions you might have, and she can explain more about the therapeutic process. Duration: 6-week course, every Wednesday from 5th March to 9th April- 19:00-21:30 Each session: 2.5 hours long Cost: £325 for the full course Concession price: 2 spaces for concession at £250 About me: Jessica Gough, is an art psychotherapist and artist passionate about using creativity to support emotional well-being. Cancellation Policy
Reminders: - Clay, aprons and tools will be provided during the class. - Fingernails should be kept short for health and safety reasons. - Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a bit of clay on. - Please do not wear any accessories or leave them around the studio if possible. - Please come 10 minutes prior to the start of the class, as this will allow you to sign in and get ready for class demonstration. - It is your responsibility to arrive on time for the class. Upon arriving to your class 30 minutes or later, we have the right to reject you joining the class without any refund or rescheduling. -Please check your confirmation to ensure you arrive at the correct studio to the correct class.
