         The Origins of Cernamic

Our story stretches across London – from East Ham to Camberwell; Elephant and Castle to Stonebridge Park; and more recently, from an old Biscuit Factory in Bermondsey to a forgotten zip factory in Stoke Newington.

We've built communities of artists in previously empty spaces, filling the nooks and crannies of our city with clay and good times.

We founded Cernamic to make this art form entirely accessible to anyone willing to give it a try. As kilns are being thrown out of schools, we recognised that an art education shouldn't be limited to just a slither of the population.

As a result, we constantly strive to make our courses affordable and our studio membership diverse, so artists of every level and walk of life have a wheel at Cernamic.

Along with running Cernamic, we both continue to practice as artists. You can read more about our work under Commissions.

We look forward to seeing you in the studio soon,
